University of Saskatchewan: Aboriginal Education Research Centre
The Aboriginal Education Research Centre (AERC) at the University of Saskatchewan is a new and unique initiative planned and implemented in response to an identified need to create and coordinate research activity on Aboriginal education. AERC is a growing research centre that seeks to explore and develop success strategies for learning and education of the largest growing population in Saskatchewan.


Diploma of First Nations Interdisciplinary Studies
This diploma program is specifically designed to meet the needs of students with common interests who wish to enlarge their understanding of issues facing First Nations peoples. The program will help students to develop a theoretical and practical understanding of particular First Nations issues from a variety of disciplinary perspectives.

Certificate in Intercultural Leadership - FNUC
The Intercultural Leadership Program prepares students for leadership in an intercultural workplace. The program will prepare students for leadership in an intercultural context to serve in both the public and private sectors of Saskatchewan and beyond. A major emphasis of the program will be the discovery of both the similarities and differences between the students' own cultural backgrounds and those of other students.


Certificate of Continuing Education Indian Career & Community Counseling
This program is designed primarily for people employed as education, social, community, or employment/training counselors with First Nations-governed institutions. This program helps students to develop a theoretical understanding of cultural, social, and psychological perspectives, and practical skills in a wide range of counseling settings.

Indian Teacher Education Program: Bachelor of Education
The Indian Teacher Education Program is a four-year teacher education program designed for First Nations students interested in obtaining a Bachelor of Education degree. The goal of ITEP is to prepare First Nations teachers who will respond to the challenges associated with the educational needs of Aboriginal students.

The Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research Inc (GDI)
GDI is the official education, research and development arm of the Métis Nation of Saskatchewan. The mission of the Institute is to promote the renewal and development of Métis culture through research, materials development, collection and distribution of those materials and the design, development and delivery of Métis-specific educational programs and services. The Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program (SUNTEP), established in 1980, is one such program.


Canadian Council on Learning: Aboriginal Learning Knowledge Centre
The Aboriginal Learning Knowledge Centre was created to provide a collaborative national forum that will support the development of effective solutions for the challenges faced by First Nations, Métis and Inuit learners.


Aboriginal Human Resource Council
The Aboriginal Human Resource Council (AHRC), formed in 1998, is a national public-private, not-for-profit organization with a mandate to advance the full participation of Aboriginal people in Canada's labour market on a national level. The council offers human resource innovation through the programs, products, services, and projects it has developed with the help of many partners.
